Hello!
We are all on our journeys to achieve our goals and live a life of meaning and purpose. I primarily utilize a cognitive behavioral therapy approach, which I view as a collaborative partnership. I will help you better understand your experiences by providing education and resources and facilitating insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behavior patterns.
Within sessions, you can expect me to be genuine in my empathy and my efforts to understand your individual experiences, needs, strengths, and goals better. I will gently challenge you to assist you through the change process. I incorporate humor and share personal experiences, often reminding my clients that self-improvement is a journey, not a destination.
I received my Masters in Social Work from Texas Tech University and completed a Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders fellowship at the Dallas VA Medical Center. I have experience treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and chronic pain.
I have clinical experience across various settings, including working at one of the leading mental health companies providing therapy services to professional clients and their families.
